Chicken Drumsticks or Wings


This is an easy recipe, though it takes a bit of work.   You make the sauce, assemble it in a pressure cooker, reduce the sauce, and then broil.  The sauce could be anything that you like.  This one works well for us.

I've used a pressure cooker as the meat is always tender. The sauce can be varied a gazillion ways for different flavors.


  • 2lb Chicken (Wings or Drumsticks)
  • 1/3 cup Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Splenda Brown
  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper (flakes)
  • 2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Smoked Paprika


Step 1
Whisk together all of the ingredients except the chicken in a bowl
Step 2
Place all the chicken into a pressure cooker.
Step 3
Pour sauce over the chicken. Close and lock the lid.
Pressure Cooking
Step 4
Set the pressure cooker to cook for 20 minutes at high pressure. Walk away and relax.
Post Pressure Cooker
Step 5
Aluminum foil a baking sheet and spray with cooking oil (Pam)
Step 6
Remove the chicken from the pressure cooker and place on baking sheet
Step 7
Reduce the sauce in the pressure cooker using the sautee setting until the sauce is moderately sick.
Step 8
Coat the chicken with half of the sauce and put it into to Broil for 4 to 8 minutes until browned the way you want.
Step 9
Turn the chicken over, coat the other side with the remainder of the sauce. Broil for 4 to 8 minutes.
